We are The Low Heavies, a funk/fusion/jam/rock band from Tampa. Our goal is to play select venues in the Tampa Bay area that caters to the jam scene (Skippers, Ring Side, Dunedin Brewery) but especially interested in playing small festivals such as The Orange Blossom Jam, Home Team Rally and even hopefully one day something at the Spirit of the Swanee Music Park up in Live Oak. In short, we are NOT looking to regularly play tiny, smokey old man bars.We play several covers of some of our favs but really want to focus on being a legit original act. We have a few kick a*s originals right now. Our free studio in Tampa is set up to record live practices nicely. We will put out a full length soon once we compile enough material! ALWAYS looking for a KEYBOARD player. We had a good one, but sadly he moved. Female vocalist is another area of interest as are brass guys.
