So here is what we've got going on so far. I've been playing guitar for 18 years, Dan has been on the bass for around 8 years. We currently have a another guitarist we tried out Sunday he was alittle under prepared but not out of the running. Unfortunately the drummer we were working with had to step down for family reasons. For now we are only looking to be a cover band. We aren't against origionals, but not until a name has been made for the band, which will take time. Our plan is to cover a lot of ground in the rock genre, but not looking to do extremely heavy music. In our experience screamo and similarly heavy songs just don't "sell" as well if you aren't playing for a tailored audience, which we are not 98% of the time. So for example songs ranging from Journey, to metallica, skid row, Gnr, I prevail, escape the fate, van halen, Jimmy eat world, green day etc. are what we are shooting for. We are also interested in taking some more pop-esk songs and turning them into rock covers as well, but that is further down the line when we can "learn each other" well enough to work well to make those covers. For now we will most likely be rooted around the bigger classic hits from the 80s up and modern 94.7 stuff. Were planning to run pretty upbeat sets, basically "the high energy stuff". Not the slower crowd looses interest tunes. We are a new band so we are open to suggestions, gimmicks, songs, etc. Everyone has an equal say, and place here no dictators or "i own this so I get a bigger cut" or "I started this band" were not doing that stuff. An if egos become an issue we will move on to someone else.
