Posted 1/1/24 The Matchstick Architects are looking for a new drummer after our long-time drummer reluctantly had to leave the band. We are an indie rock band that has been together since 2012 or so, and our focus is on writing and performing original music. That being said we do play a fair number of covers when we are gigging, but we are very selective about them. We have one album out currently and we are working on recording tracks for a new one. The drummer that we bring on will be asked to record tracks for the majority of the new album. We have tracks for a few songs already from our previous drummer to keep us busy while we are waiting for YOU! We are hoping to find a drummer who: Wants to write, rehearse, and perform original music with a mix of covers Doesn t mind doing some traveling for rehearsals and gigs Would be interested in discussing some light touring at some point Will bring with them a level of maturity and professionalism Understands dynamics and knows how and when to play quietly Is in the neighborhood of our age group (50ish to 60ish) Will be able to commit to us and does not already play in 5 other bands Is a great personality fit Reach out to us at: contact(a)matchstickarchitects com
