One of the most famous Bronx musicians is DJ Kool Herc, who is credited with inventing hip-hop. Herc was born in the South Bronx in 1955 and started DJing in the early 1970s. Another famous Bronx musician is LL Cool J, who is considered one of the greatest rappers of all time.
