Bass Guitar
I'm a 40 year old woman who plays bass (primarily), guitar, keys, and percussion. I have played a bunch of other instruments throughout my life, and music has been a part of my life since I was about 7 years old. I am looking to expand my horizons and play with others, as I have primarily been home recording for the past 15 years (my last band was 1999). I play a wide variety of styles and genres, but I am most interested these days in some kind of post-rock or prog-rock angle.
I believe music can be an amazing creative release. I am currently the Cto of a small startup seeking venture capital, but music is my outlet, I usually write using Garage Band on a tablet or phone to sketch out things like chord progressions and melodies, then I re-record it using "real" instruments. I have released several albums over the past few years, but I am horrid at self-promotion, as I just want to make music, and if people enjoy it, wonderful, but it's my expression.
Lately, I have felt stagnant, like I keep writing songs that sound soundtracky or video-gamish and want some people to push me beyond that, so I am definitely looking for songwriting partners as well.
