footsgrandson 51 years old male Gainesville, FL member since 2015
I can play almost any chord you want me to play on guitar. I have built-in rhythm (played drums for the better part of 25 years). I also know scales and modes (though not cat-quick, but won't put you to sleep). I can lay down a rhythm, and know how to stay out of other players' way. Also, pretty good at call-and-response.
I wanted to learn guitar because of Duane Allman. (I've listened to Stormy Monday enough times to almost be embarrassing.). I believe Albert Collins had more rhythm in his lead lines than anyone--period. I love the soul of Sam Cooke and Al Green, the funk of Earth, Wind, and Fire, the rhythm guitar of Hendrix, Srv's jazzy side, anything Joe Pass played. I also dig yacht rock. Other influences: Atlanta Rhythm Section, Little River Band, Ec, Eagles, 38 Special, and, last but not least, is the music from my grandparents' era, Big Band jazz. I really could go on and on, but this should give you a pretty good picture of my musical taste. I also like to experiment with the ethereal sounds of ambient music, just to see where it takes me.

Acoustic Guitar, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar
Acoustic guitar is an old beaten up one that sounds great. My electric setup includes a Fender Strat and a Peavey modeling amp that makes more sounds than I will ever use (it usually stays on the clean channel). I also own a Fender Twin '65 reissue, but it's not with me. For all of you looking for a drummer, I could do it easily, but I no longer own a kit. Sorry.
