Looking for Hard Rock or Metal band...not the usual stuff. Been playing over 30 years, have a Pro level Mega Kit. Looking for people who aren't afraid to push the boundaries, or play the same boring music on the radio. Something heavy but different. Doesn't have to be necessarily fast but definitely heavy.

Are you in need a vocalist / bassist / guitarist / keyboardist for YOUR band or a jam or some studio work? Most folks call me "Jim" or "Swampy", (My given name is James). I am fully Covid vaccinated and boosted. I've been performing professionally since 1965. I play driving bass lines, or keep a snappy rhythm guitar fill going, and I can sing the lead or background. I am currently available should you need an experienced baritone/tenor vocalist and/or bassist, rhythm guitarist, or keyboardist on a temporary or permanent basis or even just to jam or for studio work. My forte is singing lead vocals while playing electric bass and/or rhythm/lead guitar. My repertoire consists of 1,200+ cover songs including a few of my own compositions. My favorite genre consists of Americana (Blues, Classic(Old) & Contemporary Country, Folk, Jazz, South Louisiana Swamp Pop, and Texas Swing). I also perform Bluegrass, Classic Pop, Classic Rock, Classic Soul, Funk, Gospel, Red Dirt, Rock-a-Billy, Rock, Southern Rock, & R & B. If interested, kindly contact me so we can work out time & location details. Let's be honest, since retiring in 2017 I'm bored and really want to be out performing! Thanks, ----- Swampy

Any musicians out there want to perform with a band? Fellow Musicians, folks call me "Jim" or "Swampy", (My given name is James and I am lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist/manager.); we are rehearsing weekly in my studio. If you'd like to join or just jam with the band, consider joining us at rehearsal. Send a message through this site and we'll set up a date for you to join us. If you play /bass/rhythm/lead guitar/keys/ or you are a vocalist or drummer, just bring your instrument & amp, or mic & cable or drum kit. We currently have 1,200+ songs in near gig readiness in the Blues, Bluegrass, Classic Rock, Classic Pop, Classic Soul, Country, Folk, Funk, Gospel, Red Dirt, R&B, Rock, Rock-a-Billy, Southern Rock, Swamp Pop, & Texas Swing genres. We are an Oldie Band in all the above genre.Sorry, but we don't do drugs nor excessive booze, and we won't play any screaming head banging Heavy Metal, you won't find any Gothic doom & darkness playing Death Metal, nor will you find any piercing EMO, Punk & Grunge Hard Rock, we also won't play any pistol waving, pants down to the knees, Rap. We are smoke free and family oriented respecting all musician's abilities and we also welcome interested lady musicians. We now have a larger location to regularly rehearse... my studio. The band's primary focus is to HAVE FUN while gigging in the Lake Pontchartrain Northshore & in Coastal & Southern Mississippi area venues. We perform mostly cover songs and some of our own tunes, primarily for parties & special benefit concerts, avoiding the lounge scene ... tired of dealing with smoke, drunks, dopers, & brawls. We DO NOT book New Orleans venues due to excessive gun violence already witnessed at a gig. Barring weather or illness, rehearsals are 3:00 until 6:00 P.M. every Sunday afternoon ---- Thanks --- Swampy/Jim
