Authentic, old-school, blues bassist: country blues, jump-blues, swing-blues, old anything blues. My unusual, one-of-a-kind bass has that fat, bottom-line, belly-tone found in old blues recordings from the 1930's and 40's. It won't interfere with vocals or guitars; it is highly intuitive in that it can catch almost any musical fast-ball you can throw at it! It's also ideal for bluegrass. Been playing for over 40 years with a great variety of musicians and styles of music, but it always ends up with me gravitating to the blues. "There’s lots of music, I listen to, rock, jazz and pop,...so much to choose. There’s folk, and hip-hop,...but only one will do. When I’ve heard it all,...I go back to the blues!" (From one of my original blues tunes) I want to be in a working roots-blues band, or to start one. The musicians have to be experienced and fantastic. I'm looking to re-create that old, authentic blues sound, you know, like Little Walter, or early Muddy Waters, old Buddy Guy, or John Lee Hooker and Son House etc. The drummer I have in mind would have it easy as the smaller the drum-kit, the better----even just a snare, hi-hat and one ride-symbol would be ideal. Drums and bass should and will stay in the background where they belong, just like they are in those early blues recordings.
Blues, blues and more blues!!!
