My name is Jamie, I live in Vanderbilt Mich. I have been drumming for about 30 years, give or take a few years. I have always played either a standard 4 or 5 piece kit, with what ever cymbals where available and or affordable at any given time. I grew up surrounded by musician since birth. My father was a grammy nominated gospel singer/songwriter, and I have an older brother who is one the best guitarist I've every played with. I am inspired and into any style of music played well, but like most other musicians I do have my preferences. Musically I like the following bands: Tool, Deep Purple, Cream, Hendrix, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Brad, Gary Clark Jr., Rainbow, all the old Motown stuff, Tom T. Hall, Soundgarden, Tower of Power, Weather Report, the Holmes Brothers, the list goes on and on. As long as the music is done well, it will catch my ear.
Musical Influences & Inspiration
Inspiration often comes for me from some non-musical artists, anyone that produces a creative work I find inspiring, such as, and some Are musicians: Clive barker, Salvador Dali, Victor Borga, Gilda Radner, Cristopher Walken, the Cohen Brothers, Gore Vidal, Tom Wolfe, and of course my brother Steve. The list could go on to fill probably 5 or 6 more pages.

I recently bought a 5 piece set of birch Pdp drums (made by Drum Workshop). I am using Sabian B8 series cymbal as they came with the drum kit and cannot currently afford anything else at the moment, but they honestly do sound pretty good, after all "a lesser musician blames his gear" and as the great Max Roach once said, "A good drummer should be able to get a good sound and groove happening on any type of gear!" 'Nuff said about that. I have always preferred Pro-Mark, 5B stix, and remo drum heads. Hardware is all Pdp, and I am sold on this company and their products.
