Hi, my name is Julie. My artist name is Julie LaMeng. I recently released my debut cd last year, entitled, 'in His time'. I am currently looking for a guitarist to start doing gigs. So far, I have experience in the studio, singing at church, weddings, funerals, and a couple of outdoor ventures. But really wanting to learn and start performing gigs and with someone's help providing the music, looking to make this more than a 'local bar gig' career pursuit. Im a musician who lives in Gresham, Oregon. I have been playing guitar since i was about 13 or 14, and started my first band when i was 16. Ive played several shows around Portland, Oregon, and i've got a couple of albums under my belt. My last band that I was in broke up about back in october 2014. I am looking to start a new band or join an already formed band. I'm thinking I'd like to do something along the lines of Hard Rock/Blues-Rock/Glam Metal/ maybe even Southern Rock. Established Joni Mitchell Tribute Band seeks co-lead/background vocalist. Skilled with instrument a bonus (rhythm guitar/keys/sax.) Portland, Oregon based. We are all professionals, and seek same. Current quintet seeks additional members for full/part-time participation, depending upon size of venue and gig. We consist of co-lead vocalist/keyboards, co-lead vocalist/rhythm guitar (both female,) electric lead guitar, electric bass, drums & percussion. In choir and orchestra all throughout school, winning multiple championships. I've been in over 25 productions, and was the national anthem singer for Oregon State Wrestling competition at the Moda Center and for the National Dog Association Competition at the Oregon Convention Center. I sing everything but my favs are jazz, musical theater, pop, and r&b! I want to get better at jazz improv, and my ultimate dream would be singing gigs with a jazz band.
