We are groups, 1 church, 1 mission! Catg stands for Church At The Gym, located just south of downtown Sanford, Fl. We are a non-denominational church that loves Jesus and strives to love others as He loves us. We are a small church that is active in the community with many outreach ministries. We are also Catg: Children At The Gates, an original worship band focused on writing music that will inspire others with the love and mercy that God has shown us! Our music ministry is diverse and collaborative, where all members are free to express their thoughts and ideas for ways to glorify God through the talents He has given us. We believe that the Lord has called us to serve our community by performing at churches, rallies, and other events throughout the Central Florida area and share the truth of the Gospel of Christ. I (Dave, drummer) manage both the church's music ministry and the original band. We are a diverse collection, currently both men and women, ages 15-30, comprised of vocals, guitar, bass, and drums.

Musical Influences & Inspiration

We are inspired by God to write original music and express the thoughts and words that He has placed in our hearts. We are influenced by many genres and artists that preach the Gospel through their music. Examples include Hillsong United, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys, Jesus Culture, Bethel, Casting Crowns, and many others. We are individually inspired by a multitude of genres, from contemporary pop and jazz to rock and metal. We believe that, as musicians, everyone has their own musicality that they can contribute into a band such as ours.

The church has all equipment needed for a full-fledged musical we're missing is you, the talent! We hold church in a gym and have a stage set up weekly with a Pa system, lighting, guitars, drums, percussion, keyboards, with added room to grow. For the original worship band, we each have our own professional-grade equipment and can utilize the church's resources if necessary.
