Posted 1/1/24 The Matchstick Architects are looking for a new drummer after our long-time drummer reluctantly had to leave the band. We are an indie rock band that has been together since 2012 or so, and our focus is on writing and performing original music. That being said we do play a fair number of covers when we are gigging, but we are very selective about them. We have one album out currently and we are working on recording tracks for a new one. The drummer that we bring on will be asked to record tracks for the majority of the new album. We have tracks for a few songs already from our previous drummer to keep us busy while we are waiting for YOU! We've been together over 20 years have a ton of original music and we also do a bunch of cover tunes. Our music is guitar based rock pretty straightforward and boisterous. Our biggest influences are Led Zeppelin, RHCP, Soundgarden (any Chris Cornell bands), Black Sabbath, Queen, Rush, Pearl Jam among others. We are looking for someone professional, committed and experienced..this position is full time but if you are not in a position to commit full time, we are also accepting part time fill in spots for our upcoming live shows.. we are looking for someone to be a team player and completely hands on which includes booking shows, merchandise splits and planning any upcoming road situations as well. We have our own rehearsal space based on the Clifton/passaic border which we share monthly costs on.
