Formally trained diverse double kick drummer with many years with studio recording experience looking for an established band that recognizes percussion as an equal voice. My background, expertise and experience is in jazz fusion, jazz funk, rock, etc. I am primarily seeking a jazz funk group akin to Tower of Power. My skills and energy will take you where you want to go.
Musical Influences & Inspiration
Jazz Fusion, Jazz Funk. My favorite percussionist is Billy Cobham, but my influences are many including Latin percussion. Lately I have been interested in compositions of the Tower of Power and jazz funk. Others influences include Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius, Brecker Brothers and so many more too numerous to list.
