Aloha all! Born to a southern musical family, yet raised in the Hawaiian islands. I am Gen-X-influenced by several genre and many artists from the 1970s -early 2000s. Country, all kinds of rock and ballads, various folk, reggae, funk, pop, R&B, soul, Hawaiian...and a touch of jazz. Ive a baritone through tenor vocal range, with some falsetto. I perform vocal lead, backing or harmonies. My instruments are primarily acoustic 6 and 12-string, electric and bass guitar. Mostly finger-style. Rhythm or melodic leads. (I love to boogie good melodies, and also play slide guitar parts) My acoustic rig are 6 and 12-string dreadnoughts and vocal mic, into a Fishman loud box amp, via a pedalboard with the TC Play Acoustic processor. My electric rig is a Les Paul through a 59 Bassman, via a pedal-board. Bass rig needs an upgrade, but is currently a 1970s EB-3 bass, through an Ampeg B2 4x8, via a couple pedals. I tend to create original guitar compositions, along several genre, but seldom write lyrical vocal pieces. More of a cover-song performer, that sneaks a couple of my own in, creates original instrumentals, or backs your originals. Also interested in harmonies with a female vocalist, when available. Yeah, I'll go from Cash, Shawn Mullins, Allison Krauss and even Anne Murray to Zeppelin and 80s rocker ballads, 90s alternative in the same set and then throw in some Hawaiian reggae or slack-key. Yes, a bari-tener male -covering Anne Murray and Allison Krauss songs...haha! I blame you, mom.
