Playing in semiprofessional bands since LBJ was president. Have lost a couple of steps off the top, but solid second tenor/baritone. I play guitar (rhythm) passably well, bass guitar (not in a while, not all that well), lead guitar (are you kidding me) worse than I play bass. On the other hand, I do read music and can play from a score/sheet. What I do well is sing -- lead, harmonies, a capella -- but I don't do rap. Let me clarify -- I won't do rap. Child of the '60s, my heart belongs to the rock, folk and English/American "traditional" bands (such as Steel-Eye Span and The Weavers).
So many. Weavers, Beatles, Cream, Beach Boys, Dylan, Mamas and Papas, Joni Mitchell, CSN (w or w/o Y), Spirit, Joplin, Talking Heads, Police, the Pogues, the Cars, Devo (not so much an influence, but I found them highly entertaining), Glen Campbell (yes, that Glen Campbell), Roger Miller, K. Kristofferson, Harry Nilsson, the Who, the Blues Magoos (don't hate on me, man), Sandy Denny, Elvis, Kenny Rankin, and Dan Fogelberg for a few. Ah, jeez, left out Clapton. Love Clapton -- "Fall Like Rain," "River of Tears." Also loved all the old Motowners, but my voice wasn't suitable for a lot of it. But Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Tops, Miracles -- doesn't get better than that. Ahh, Jeeeeze, Otis. And not Otis Day and the Knights (although for a few years "You Put the Rama Lama in My Rama Lama Ding Dong" had a central place in my repertoire -- think "Animal House"). "Dock of the Bay" -- that Otis.

I have a pair of acoustic-electric guitars. I am willing to purchase amplification for instruments and vocals if the band is in need. I also have an electric acoustic banjo, but I can't play it for beans.
