I'm a New York City based violinist with 16 years of extensive training in jazz, swing, bluegrass, and Texas style fiddling. As a Berklee alumni, I can also sightread well, learn parts by ear quickly and improvise over changes. While I specialize in these genres I can also help you out if you need strings for a pop, world music or classical project! Anything goes. I play regularly throughout the city with various jazz ensembles, and also have recent experience with television recording work as well as sessions for both commercial jingles and personal projects. I also teach private lessons primarily in the bluegrass/western swing/jazz genres, but can teach more classically oriented music to beginner/intermediate students if desired. The lessons will be happily tailored to the individual student, and I can help you with anything from technique and sight reading to improvisation and learning by ear!
