Bowie Tribute band Stardust Memories is in need of a keyboardist to cover 2 hour plus theatre show that's contracted and scheduled to be performed in Carrollwood for Friday, July 8. Apologies for the late notice in this but due to circumstances beyond our control, we are needing someone who can come in and cover at least this gig. It is guaranteed pay plus catering provided by the venue. There are other shows being scheduled down the road. Should you want to go beyond this show, we're open to having that conversation at another time. For now, this is priority. The band is a combination of seasoned and well accomplished musicians presenting an exciting tribute to the live David Bowie experience with costumes, theatrics, tight musicianship and a legendary back catalog of hits, classic and rarely heard gems. What we're looking for: Bowie's career had seen him use a diverse range of keyboardists from the likes of Tony Kaye, Rick Wakeman (both of Yes), Roy Bittan (of the E Street Band) and most famously to Bowie fans Mike Garson. We're looking for a keyboardist that is open in covering the styles of the aforementioned while remaining tasteful and song friendly. We are currently rehearsing every other week in West Pasco and Hillsborough County (North Tampa). Must have reliable gear (keyboards - two or more, not split patches on one, Amp/mixers, etc) and transport (It doesn't matter how you get there, it's the showing up part that counts). Come to rehearsal prepared to play, not learn as you go along. Must have a great attitude and have the ability to work well with others. A sense of humour goes a long way too.
