I'm a lifelong drummer who started young and learned by ear. Later learned to read and classically trained in college. Many years of experience in rock bands, jazz bands, concert bands, orchestra, marching band/drum corps, and even bagpipe and drum ensembles. I've done a good amount of everything and I'm down to play just about anything.

Drummers who inspire me include: Neil Peart, Michael Giles, John Bonham, Ginger Baker, Gregg Bissonette, Simon Philips, Carter Beauford, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Jimmy Sullivan, and many others. More generally, artists who inspire and influence me include: Sturgill Simpson, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, System of a Down, Foo Fighters, Coheed and Cambria, Animal Collective, Neutral Milk Hotel, Youth Lagoon, Andrew Prahlow, and Scott Buckley.

Gear & Equipment

I own both an acoustic drum kit and an electronic drum kit with a dedicated speaker. I prefer the acoustic, but the e-kit is incredibly versatile for more out-there kinds of music, or even just low volume gigs.
