I started playing bass guitar about three years ago. My dad plays guitar and he helped me learn the basics of the guitar, but I fell in love with the bass. I'm a fast learner when it comes to learning songs but I've never really had a jam session with anyone else. I have played a couple of songs with my dad's band when they've had gigs in the past. I'm pretty proficient with the bass and I practice at least 3-4 times a week. I'd love to meet other musicians my age and play with other people. I think it would be awesome to be in a band also.

Musical Influences & Inspiration

The main genres of music I like to play are alternative rock and classic rock, as that's what I was raised listening to. I am open to other genres as well, though. My biggest inspiration and the reason I started playing is Duran Duran, and some of my other favourite bands are Broken Bells, The Strokes, The Shins, The The, The Smiths, Radiohead, Muse, and Porcupine Tree. I'd say my music taste is very diverse and I love to explore unique music and music written in other languages.
