I am trained in jazz guitar, including Latin Jazz, am good at Bossa Nova & samba, but played lots of folk, blues, and rock. I play blues harmonica too. Played in bands for many years. Had 3 concerts in 2023 (Atlanta, Washington DC and Europe.) These were bands comprising musicians coming from multiple US states. videos available. Am searching for a band in NYC.
Musical Influences & Inspiration
I love to play the music of Carlos Santana, but songs I played in public this year included Tom Jobim (lots), Beatles, Dumpstaphunk, Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Crusaders, BB King, Clapton, Stevie Wonder (lots), Maze (ft Frankie Beverly), Nat King Cole, and more. I am familiar with many jazz standards, I use jazz techniques all the time but for concerts I prefer dancing/singing styles of music.
