Duane is more than your typical musician from Nashville. The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence on the road.
Duane began playing guitar at a very young age, and at the age of 11 started playing bass guitar traveling playing gospel music on the road full time 50 weeks a year. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that He was always surrounded by different forms of music. At 17, he traveled professionally, playing one night shows with Chuck Jackson. When he was 18 he enrolled in Trevecca Nazarene University, studying business management and studied music at Blair School of Music. His dream was to become a studio musician. During the early 80’s he played country music, playing on demos, recording, and doing studio work, playing for various artist and songwriters, Marty Stuart among others. But His passion was always playing blues.
