Wetdentist is a 51-year-old, local musician in Bethlehem, PA who last logged in over a month ago.
Yeah, I am in my 40s & have been in some pretty crazy bands in my day, art punk/new wave ones, generally. My last band broke up a year and a half ago on a stage in Philadelphia, just one month after we put out our new album (that I recorded, mixed & mastered over the course of a 4 month period of time). So instead of forming a traditional band w/drums, bass, guitars (like i have done many times in the past), i am looking for an electronic musician(s) who use laptops, Midi controllers, etc for Live Performance & possible recording to accompany me while i play & sing original songs on guitar (primarily acoustic). as someone who makes a lot of electronic music in my studio, i like blending acoustic guitar into my tracks & think it sounds pretty creamy with synthesizers & beats i make on Maschine. I currently have about 20 songs I want to play live, songs that I have recorded in my studio under the name Wet Dentist, but I want the electronic musician(s) I am here recruiting have a lot of freedom regarding the beats, sounds, etc that ends up on the stage. Looking to start out at open mics & coffee houses & eventually become huge in Philadelphia/Lehigh Valley. Lol.
I have millions of musical influences, so I will limit the ones I list here that have relevance to the project I am trying to create. Talking Heads, The Fall, Tricky, Marilyn Manson, Aphex Twin, Liars, Stereolab, Datarock, Radiohead, etc
Live: Fender Sonoran acoustic guitar, Ibanez Artcore electric guitar, Peavey Revolution amp, Ehx Memory Man, Ehx Superego, Boss Tremolo & Flanger Studio: Sonar X3e x64, Ni Maschine, Ni Kore 2, M-Audio Keystation 61es, Ni Komplete 7, Ozone 4, Synplant, etc
