My main instrument is electric bass. I also play the guitar. I prefer rhythm guitar instead of lead guitar. I also play the keyboard/piano, but I use it more for composing than actually learning advanced technical skills. I have performance experience and professional recording experience as well. My most notable project would be recording bass for Elise Leblanc with producer Howard Redekopp (Tegan & Sara, Said the Whale, Now, Now). Currently, I'm working on music for two separate projects. Project one is an ambient, instrumental project aimed at composing music for film. I'm looking for any collaborators who would be interested in recording different instruments for an Ep/Album I plan to release. At the moment, I would love to work with some string players. If you are interested, please message me. The second project I'm writing music is for an indie/pop/rockish? project. I'm not sure how to classify it at the moment, but it's aimed for a more commercial appeal and for live performance. I'm in the process of writing music and would love to collaborate with a vocalist/lyricist. Male or female does not matter, although I feel a female voice would add an interesting texture to the music assuming their voice fits well. Think along the lines of Lauren Mayberry (Chvrches) mixed with the intensity of Hayley Williams (Paramore). That's what I imagine in my head, but I down for anyone to give it a shot. If you are interested, please message me.
I'm a huge Sigur Ros fan! I find their music to be very inspiring. I'm also a huge fan of Biffy Clyro, Manchester Orchestra, Incubus, The Kooks, Churches, Adult Jazz, Bad Suns, The 1975, Olafur Arnalds, Hans Zimmer, and so much more. Like really. The list never ends.
I play on a Fender P-Bass at the moment (Mexican made). I run through an Acoustic BH300 head and a Markbass Traveler 2x10 cabinet. My pedals include a dunlop volume, tech21 Nyc Driver/Di, and a Tc Electronic Arena Reverb pedal. I play Fender Telecaster and a mahogany Baby Taylor with built in electronics. I use a Boss Overdrive with the Fender at times. I also have a Nord Electro 2 which I use as a midi controller with various plug-ins via Ableton Live.
