Bass Guitar I'm a groove-oriented guitarist (mid-30s, been playing for more than 15 years) looking to join a working band that gigs around the Washington, DC area including weddings and events. Motown, Funk, Disco, Pop ... anything that gets butts out of seats and on to the dance floor. I have experience arranging, and am proficient on the drums and bass, too. I currently gig intermittently, but am looking for something more regular.

Background Singer I've been playing Saxophone for 16 years, Guitar for 14, Singing for 13. Picking up Bass guitar as well. I played in the U.S. Army bands for four years before returning to school. Jazz sax is cool, Rock and Metal guitar are also cool. Recently been addicted to Funk.
Other Percussion I play Congas, bongo, cajon and electronic drum. I performed for over 15 years, different styles, such as, latin, pop, rock, bossa nova and reggae.

Ability to conduct, arrange, read music, and teach vocal parts. Ability to play hymns, various contemporary and traditional gospel, and other Christian music. Lead Guitar I am a skilled improviser on the guitar and I want to play in a band. I have a full-time job but I am committed to practicing a couple times a week. Ideally I want to be in a band that plays in bars, clubs, and events (weddings). I'm not too interested in writing original songs, just doing my own take on fun classics.
